Meeting new friends

Whee! Finally home. Mummy took me out of the little cage and played with me abit. Then she looked at all the things that she bought for me just now. I was happy because she gave me some hay to eat while she looked at those things.

Mummy’s house friend Fai came out of his room looking very sleepy. I think he was abit unhappy to see me. Maybe he doesn’t like me sharing his house also. I continued eating my hay.

Then Mummy’s friend/neighbour Mr Wang Pei came over. He talked to Fai and Mummy, but he didn’t come in. He just stood by the window and looked in. It’s like how people come and visit me in my cage, but they don’t come in. I think it’s strange. Maybe Mummy and Fai felt like pigs in a cage too.

Then Mr Wang’s girl friend came over. She came into Mummy’s house and looked at me. I thought she was nice. She said that I am cute. -smug-

After that, all of them went out to eat and I was at home alone. It was so dark by the time they came back. I was so bored. Luckily Mummy remembered to leave me more food and water before she went out.

I saw Fai carrying a cage! Is it…? Could it be…? For me? Wow! There was another boy also. His name is Hai. I think he stays in our house too.

Mummy didn’t talk to me. She took the cage to the back and then when she came back, she put my food bowl into the new cage, put some hay in the new hay ball and hung it from the ceiling. There was also a plastic thing on the floor. I think it’s for me to step on so I won’t hurt my feet. Mummy poured alot of the paper bedding into the tray under the grid of my cage. Yay. Now I can pee in peace without getting my fur soaked with my pee.

After she finished setting it up, Mummy opened my cage door, and lifted me out. I struggled abit. She was holding me too tightly. Man, she really needs to learn how to hold a pig.

Look here! It’s me in my new cage!

Yay. Fresh hay!

While I was eating, someone came into the house. Mummy said this is my new Daddy. Oooh.

Hmm. They looked at me. Then Daddy started to say some things about my cage floor. Mummy wasn’t happy and started saying things back in an unhappy tone. What’s with my cage floor? I think it’s alright. I like the plastic thing I’m stepping on in the last picture.

Daddy and Mummy were not too happy with each other.

Oh dear. Is it because of me? *sigh* What a way to end this exciting day in an exciting new place. Mummy just said that she doesn’t want to talk to Daddy anymore. Then she asked me to go to sleep. Ooo-kay.

P/S: Fai and Hai said that they want to “barbikew” (not sure how to spell) the pig. What does that mean? Does it mean they are going to give me alot of food?

Hello World!

Today Mama Stella, Mama Jasmine and Papa Reynold gave me away to my new Mummy Daphne. I was very sad when Mama Stella put me in the hamster cage, packed my food bowl and water bottle, and put some of my favourite piggy food pellets into a plastic bag, and told me that I was going someplace new.

It was drizzling outside. Mama Stella carried me to the bus stop near our house. Then a lady in a white long sleeved shirt with a flower pinned on her shirt stood up and smiled at Mama.

Her flower looked nice. I cheered up a little. Maybe she will let me eat it later.

They talked for awhile, then Mama and my new Mummy brought me to the pet shop where I was born. Avin (pet shop owner) was there, so they talked while I sat in my tiny cage (temporary, I hope).

My new Mummy started picking out things for me. She got a huge pack of Timothy hay (yay my favourite!), food pellets, liquid vitamins, a wooden block (I’m not sure what this is for), some paper bedding, and a huge metal ball for my hay.

Does that mean I’m going to get to eat alot of hay?

Mummy talked to Avin for a long time, asking him things like, how many times should she feed me every day, whether or not she should bathe me every week, and what types of food must she give me so that I get a ‘balanced diet’.

What is a balanced diet? I’m not sure. But Avin says the important things are vegetables, hay, fruits and food pellets. So I guess ‘balanced diet’ is a lot of yummy food!

Mummy didn’t buy me a cage though. I wanted a new one! I can almost jump from one side of this cage to another side; that’s how small it is.

Felt miserable.

After waiting for a long time, Mama and Mummy carried me (and all my new things) to the roadside, and we stopped a car. Before that, 2 big fat drops of rain fell on my head. I wheeked in protest but no one heard me.

We got onto the car and I waved at Mama sadly, and she waved back at me and Mummy.

Well, we’re now off to my new home. We sat in the car for a long time, so I think my new home is in another country maybe. Mummy kept looking at me. I think she was worried that I might be cold, because she put her hand into the cage, next to my body. Or maybe she was cold, cos she just put her hand on my body, like she wanted to warm her hands.

Then she took a picture of me hiding under my food bowl.

I felt abit dizzy because the car went abit fast. What’s my new home like, I wonder?
